Introduction
BTC - Bitcoin Trading Course is a mobile learning platform designed to help beginners enter the world of Bitcoin trading. With concise lessons, engaging visuals, and an AI-powered video avatar, it provides a light, fast, and accessible educational experience.
Originally built for a fintech company operating in high-end verticals, BTC was envisioned as a white-label product that could be customized for different clients in the crypto and digital wallet space.
Role Responsibilities
I led the full UX/UI design process for BTC, from early concept to handoff - including product scoping, user flows, visual system, and interactive components.
Key responsibilities:
Defined the product’s core learning flow and UX structure
Designed all wireframes and high-fidelity screens
Built a cohesive design system tailored for fintech clients
Worked closely with developers throughout implementation
Ensured the design could scale across white-label variations
Total time in role: ~6 months from concept to MVP completion

The Problem
For beginners stepping into the world of Bitcoin trading, getting started can feel frustrating and overwhelming.
Most courses are too long, too complex, or gated behind heavy signup flows
Jargon-heavy content makes it hard to understand the basics
Many apps leaned into gamification or broad finance topics, but lacked structure
There was no clear path for users to track progress or feel a sense of completion
The Solution
To solve that, I designed a streamlined micro-learning app that’s easy to complete - even for users with zero background in Bitcoin or trading.
The app delivers structured, bite-sized lessons with short AI-powered explainer videos, text, images, and interactive quizzes. Each completed lesson unlocks the next, guiding users through a simple progression. At the end, users receive a certificate and access to exclusive partner offers.
Key features include:
5 structured chapters with video, text, and quiz content
Progression-based learning flow
Personalized certificate upon completion
Short explainer videos led by an AI-powered avatar
Referral links to digital wallet offers and brokers
The Process
🔍 Identifying the Users
Relied on client insights and behavior patterns to shape the experience for first-time Bitcoin learners.
🧱 Defining the Structure
Focused on removing friction - no logins, lightweight lessons, and fast progress.
🧠 Mapping the Learning Flow
Sketched the full user journey, balancing content, quizzes, and motivation.
🎛️ Crafting the Interface
Built a clean, scalable design using a visual language that blends fintech trust with educational clarity.
🔁 Refining Through Iteration
Improved the product through rapid feedback loops with QA, devs, and the client.
User Research
Approach
No formal user research was conducted due to tight timelines and the white-label nature of the product
Relied on client feedback from the fintech and crypto space
Used lead generation data and user behavior patterns from similar products
Target audience included crypto beginners using digital wallets
Focused on creating a lightweight, modular experience adaptable across multiple partner brands
Key Insights
Users didn’t want to commit to long or overly complex learning formats
A strong preference emerged for clear, fast lessons that feel “complete”
Visual and video-based content helped reduce resistance to getting started
Users were more likely to engage when there was a tangible outcome (like a certificate or benefit)

Design Challenges
Wireframes & Early Concepts
Started with quick sketches to define the flow - onboarding, chapters, quizzes, referral screens, and certificate. Built low-fidelity wireframes to lock the structure before moving into detailed UI design.
Design Decisions
To support fast and focused learning, I made a series of design choices that kept the experience clear, approachable, and professional.
Color Palette
Dark blue for stability and trust, soft blues for calmness, white for clarity, and gold accents to evoke the world of digital currency.
Typography
Simple sans-serif fonts to enhance readability and keep the flow light.
Visual style and layout
Designed a clean, modular system with soft card-based layouts, intuitive navigation, and clear hierarchy. The goal was to make the experience feel structured and trustworthy, while keeping it lightweight and easy to move through.
Final Design
The Results
Produced full course content, including AI-generated educational videos
Built a platform ready for future white-label opportunities
Key Takeaways
What Would I Do Differently?
If I could revisit the project, I would run design and development tracks in parallel to speed up feedback loops and reduce bottlenecks.
Starting technical collaboration earlier would have improved handoff and iteration.
BTC was an opportunity to design a fast, modular learning tool that turns complex topics into accessible experiences, I look forward to building even more impactful products.
